Privacy Policy

Your days stay with you.

elou doesn't collect, track or share anything. Your entries live on your iPhone and nowhere else.

Effective September 30, 2026

The short version

  • No accounts, sign-ins or servers.
  • No analytics, ads or tracking.
  • No third-party code inside the app.
  • The app never connects to the internet.

What the app stores

For each day you log, elou saves the mood you picked (Good, Okay or Bad) and any note you wrote. That's all it stores.

Entries are kept in a single file on your iPhone. iOS encrypts that file, and it can't be read while your phone is locked.

The app makes no network connections, so your entries are never sent to us or to anyone else. We can't see them.

Backups

Your entries are included in your iPhone's backups, so they come back if you restore or move to a new phone. Backups are handled by Apple under your own settings:

Deleting your data

Deleting elou from your iPhone deletes all of your entries. Copies inside earlier backups stay there until those backups are replaced or deleted.

Apple

Downloads and updates go through the App Store, which Apple runs under its own privacy policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage totals. These never include your entries.

Emailing us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, never share it, and delete it when it's no longer needed.

This website

This site has no cookies, analytics or trackers.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
